Birmingham Southern College scored a goal in the 88th minute to come away with a 2-1 win against the Rhodes men on Sunday. The Lynx opened the scoring just 7 minutes in when Chris Chugden scored from an Allen Orgeron cross. The Panthers tied the score late in the first half and struggled against the tough Lynx defense until the 88th minute when the game winner was scored. Rhodes goes to 9-7-1 on the year and stays at 4-3-1 in SCAC play as Birmingham Southerns results to not count in the SCAC standing until 2009. BSC joined the SCAC this year but is serving a 2 year provisional period as they move from NCAA Division I to NCAA Division III. Next up for the Lynx are the final SCAC home matches against Austin College, Friday at 3:00pm , and Colorado College Sunday at 1:00pm.
